JAMMU, May 1: Foundation stone of CBSE pattern school was laid today at Mandal in presence of saints and locals of Tawi Island. Saint Hare Ram Dass Public School would be constructed and run by registered Shri Shiv Mandir and Shri Shiv Mandir Trust. To provide good quality and moral education to children of Tawi island, people with guidance of Saint Shri Hare Ram Dass Ji Maharaj took an initiative to establish a school on pattern of Central Board of School Education. Followers and people of area have vigorously contributing for such a social cause.
Chairman and controller of Shri Shiv Mandir and Shri Shiv Mandir Trust, Saint Shri Hare Ram Dass Ji Maharaj told that people of area particularly children are facing shortage of good education. Despite Government and private schools, children face hardship for such education which can make them capable to compete at national level. A resolution was adopted in general meeting of Trust to establish a CBSE pattern school at Mandal. A big chunk of temple land is selected for construction of Saint Hare Ram Dass Public School.
In presence of Mahant Rameshwar Dass and other saints, foundation stone for school was laid today at Mandal enchanting vedic mantras. Construction work for building would be started soon so that it school building should be completed in a stipulated time. In initial stage, primary classes would be started and then after Central Board be approached for approval of higher classes.
Dev Raj Sharma, a prominent social activists said that people of Tawi island are facing hardship after last year’s devastating flood. Main connection of Tawi Island, Nikki Tawi bridge washed away last year and army constructed pantoon bridge to connected with people with rest of Jammu which too washed away during recent floods.
Children face hardship during exams and some of them missed their precious exams. So, Trust and people of area decided to establish a CBSE pattern school where modern and moral education should be taught. Saint Raghubir Dass, Bhagwat Dass, Shri Prabhu Dass, Retd Col Som Nath Dogra, Bishan Dass Sarpanch, Kubhushan Khajuria Sarpanch, Sat Pal Sharma, Vijay Kumar, Chamel Singh, Dr Bhag Singh, Sunil Rakka, Jodh Raj and prominent people were also present on this occasion.
