SAMBA, May 2: Continuing with its campaign for making the Government accountable and highlighting the grievances of the public, the JKNPP today held a huge rally in Vijaypur which was attended by several hundreds of people drawn from the town and the adjoining villages.
The rally led by Harshdev Singh, chairman JKNPP passed through the main bazars and culminated at the Vijaypur Chowk where it was addressed by senior party leaders.
Speaking on the occasion, Harshdev Singh lambasted the Union and State Governments for their imbecility and inaction in the face of highly aggressive and anti national outbursts and increased India bashing campaigns launched by the Hurriyat and other Pakistan sponsored lunatics in the Kashmir valley.
Condemning the yesterday’s incident wherein the Hurriyat Leader Ali Shah Geelani organized a pro-Pak rally in Tral, in which not only Pak flags were raised but highly inflammatory and provocative statements were made, he denounced the BJP Government for meekly acquiescing in the act by neglecting to crack down upon the saboteurs and offenders.
Questioning the BJP leaders over the tall slogans of ‘Zero Tolerance’ given by them against insurgency and separatism, he said that nationalist forces of the country were seeking explanation from the ruling BJP for the open defiance of the sovereignty and integrity of India by a handful of separatists.
He said that it was ironical that the Saffron party which always had been in the fore fronts of protests against separatists while in opposition had allowed them open space to indulge in anti India posturing, organize pro Pak rallies and to dictate the terms to the State Government even in respect of Amarnath Ji Yatra and separate townships for Kashmiri migrants.
Calling for stern legal action against all those involved in yesterdays anti national rally, he called for booking the culprits for waging a war against the State and sedition.
Yash Paul Kundal, State president, Young Panthers, strongly flayed the coalition for allowing the separatists an open field in the Valley. Kundal said that interference in the internal affairs of India is intolerable and the Union and State Governments should take due cognizance of the same.
