JAMMU, May 2: All J&K Low Paid Employees Federation (LPEF) criticized the Government for keeping office or school timing in Poonch and Doda district from 10 am to 4 pm and demanded to change it.
In a statement, LPEF president, Abdul Majid Khan said that the weather in Poonch and Doda district remains almost the same in Summer and Winter seasons, as it is in other parts of Jammu Province, where office or school timing has been changed from 8 am to 2 pm in view of Summer season.
Alleging that the employees working in these areas lodged strong protest on this account several times in the past, he demanded that office or school timing in these districts be changed to 8 am to 2 pm.
He also condemned the arbitrary ouster of Anganwari workers, saying the these Anganwari workers were appointed by certain authorities and after serving for quite a long time their sudden ouster is highly deplorable. He demanded that they be taken back into service forthwith.
