JAMMU, May 2: Enforcement of Jammu Development Authority (JDA) today retrieved three kanals of land at Nanak Nagar Sector No 10 near grave yard over head tank and 20 illegal structures.
According to an official spokesman the Enforcement Wing of JDA on the instructions of its Vice Chairman Mubarak Singh while intensifying the anti encroachment drive today retrieved three kanals of land at Nanak Nagar Sector No 10 near grave yard over head tank valuing over Rs 3.5 crore. Besides one Pacca structure under construction on JDA land back side Jhelum Resort Gandhi Nagar, near JDA store and over 20 illegal structures/ reharis and pharis from rail head complex area JDA Division No 1 office were dismantled on road side as they were hampering smooth movement of vehicular traffic.
Enforcement team under the supervision of S Narinder Singh Khilaf Warzi Officer and comprising of Sunil Kumar Nanda, Rajinder Singh Chouhan, Girdhari Lal, Tarseem Lal and Renu Devi Khilaf Warzi Inspectors and gangmen carried out the drive despite the stiff resistance from the encroachers.
At Nanak Nagar Sector No 10 compound walls raised by the encroacher on State land were dismantled. Besides, more than 20 unauthorised structures, reharis and Pharis installed at Rail Head area on road side have created traffic jams problems and due to their installation roads have congested and have become accidental prone were removed and dismantled. Encroachers have been warned not to install Reharis and Pharis again on the road side. The Enforcement Wing will continue its anti encroachment drive against the encroachers and violators.
