JAMMU, May 4: A 21-year-old youth allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself at his residence in Digiana Camp falling under the limits of Gangyal police station.
According to police spokesperson, the youth identified as Manjeet Singh son of Jagir Singh, a resident of Digiana Camp, hanged himself with the hook of a ceiling fan at his residence, this morning.
On getting information, police reached the spot and shifted the dead body to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where after conducting post mortem the body of the deceased was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites.
Though no suicide note was recovered from the spot, the concerned police has registered a case and started investigations.
