UDHAMPUR, May 5: Police today arrested a bootlegger and seized 70 pouches of illicit liquor from his possession.
The accused, identified as Jagdev Singh of Satyalta in Ramnagar, was smuggling the liquor in a bus, which was on way from Udhampur to Barmeen. He was intercepted by Police during a naka at Baisakhi Dabbar, Lower Barmeen.
A case under Excise Act has been registered against the bootlegger at Police Station Gordi.
