Poswal, others meet DyCM

SRINAGAR, May 6: A strong delegation of Gujjar and Bakerwals from all the districts of Kashmir valley led by Ishfaq-ul Rehman Poswal, BJP leader, met Dr Nirmal Singh Deputy CM at the opening of Civil Secretariat offices here today.
The delegations brought into the notice of Deputy CM the issues pertaining to the tribals in the Kashmir region and sought early action to resolve them for overall development of the Gujjar and Bakerwal community of the Kashmir Division.
He highlighted the role of tribal community in curbing the tentacles of militancy in J&K especially in border areas of the Kashmir Division to save the mother land from the enemy.
The other members of the delegation expressed their displeasure over the non implementation of plans meant for the development of Gujjar and Bakerwal community especially in the road, communication and health sector.
The Deputy CM assured all possible efforts by the J&K Government to ensure overall development of the community and also to safeguard their due share in the developmental plan.
Others in the delegation included Ch Fazuldin, Ch Nekalam, Ch Bashirudin Bania, Ch Manzoor, Ch Mushtaq and Ch Rajwali.
