Sports Week concludes at KCS College of Education

JAMMU, May 6: The Sports Week organized by KCS College of Education (Women), concluded in its premises, here today.
Prof Romesh Verma, HoD M.Ed Wing was the chief guest on the occasion, while Principal of the College, Prof OP Sharma and convener Sports Committee, Rajan Suri was also present on the occasion.
He lauded the efforts of the students and the role of the Sports Committee for smooth conduct of the event.
The Sports Committee apart from its convener, Mr Suri included Sneh Khanna and Rohani Sharma .
The events in various sports disciplines were held during the Week and the disciplines included badminton, volleyball, carrom, chess, table tennis, kho-kho, tug of war, cricket, besides lemon race, musical chair and 100 meters sprint.
Heena Devi won gold medal in badminton singles, while the duo of Sakshi and Gurjeet bagged gold in badminton doubles.
Team A won gold in volleyball, while pair of Mehak and Reetu claimed gold in carrom and the duo of Deepika and Sunita won gold medal in chess.
The table tennis gold went to Heena Devi, while Team E won the kho-kho gold.
Team B bagged gold in tug of war, while Team B emerged winners in cricket.
Jyoti Devi bagged gold in Lemon race, while Rinku Devi bagged gold in 100 meters sprint and Kiran Bala claimed gold in musical chair.
