DYSS organizes Zonal Level Inter-School tournament

SAMBA, May 8: The Department of Youth Services and Sports District Samba organized Inter-School Zonal Level Cricket Tournament at Govt Higher Secondary School, Ground, here.
All the participants of Samba Zone participated in the tournament with total number of 132 players from all over the zone.
The tournament was inaugurated by the District Officer, Subash Chander and Dr Dubey, Vice Chairman of the Tournament), while ZPEO Samba, Rakesh Verma was the organizer of the event.
The tournament was held under the patronage of Director General YS & Sports J&K, Navin Agarwal.
Dr Dubey while speaking on the occasion, suggested the students to remain fit and disciplined and take part in the games.
Earlier, in cricket Under-17 boys, GHSS Sumb beat HS Rehian by 7 wickets in the first match, while in the second match, BHSS Samba drubbed HS Diani by 9 wickets and in the third match
HS Taloor outplayed HS Balore by 7 wickets. In the last match of the day, HS Sarna trounced Shishu Niketan HSS by 8 wickets. Diwan Chand of HSS Sumb and Deepak Kohli of BHSS Samba bagged man of the match awards.
In cricket Under-14 boys, Shishu Niketan HSS Samba beat Calvary Mission High School by 4 wickets.
The matches were officiated by Anirudh Singh, Rekha Sambyal, Keshav Singh, Kulbir Singh, Bhopinder Singh, Sandeep Singh, Raj Kumar, Shashi Sambyal, Suman Bala, Sushma Sambyal, Ravi Singh and Vinod Sharma.
