RAJOURI, May 8: With the objective of harnessing the talent of youth in sports and strengthen the Police-Public relationship in the district, District Police Rajouri under Civic Action Programme organized final match of Kabaddi tournament at Police Lines ground, here today. Iftkhar Ahmed, DySP Operations Rajouri was the organizing secretary of the tournament.
AK Atri DIG Rajouri-Poonch was the chief guest and Dr Mohd Haseeb Mughal, SSP Rajouri was guest of honour.
Promient among others present on the occasion were Rakesh Kumar, Additional SP Nowshera, i Hameed Choudhary, Dy.SP Hqrs Rajouri, Zakir shaheen SDPO Manjakote, Iftikhar Talib SDPO Thanamandi, ZA.Jafry DySP 5th Bn, and Kewal Krishan, Dy SP DAR DPL Rajouri.
Eight teams participated in the event and the final match was played between District Police Rajouri and Thanamandi team.
Winners received a cash prize of Rs. 10000, while the runners-up team was presented a cash prize of Rs. 5000 alonwith trophies.
District Police Rajouri Kabaddi team scored 73 points and defeated the Thanamandi Kabaddi team by 24 points.
