JAMMU, May 9: Hockey Puducherry got better of Kerala Hockey by three goals to nil (3-0), while Hockey Bihar held Chandigarh Olympic Association (COA) TO (4-4) draw in the 5th Hockey India Sub Junior National Hockey Championship, being organized at KK Hakhu Astroturf Stadium, here.
In Pool B match, Hockey Puducherry trounced Kerala by (3-0), with S Surjith scoring goal in 3rd minute, R Ranjith netting goal in 34th minute and V Vindodhan pelting it in 46th minute.
In Pool D, Chandigarh Olympic Association drew with Hockey Bihar (4-4). For CAO, Mandeep, Amandeep Singh, Sabhjodh Singh and Prabhjeet Singh scored goals in 18th, 22nd, 25thand 51st minutes respectively, while for Hockey Bihar, Bhaskar Singh, Anand Kumar Bara, Anthony Muduand and Sunil Mundu scored goals in 7th, 37th, 42nd and 52nd minutes respectively.
Meanwhile, in Pool C, Citizen Hockey XI defeated Hockey Gujarat by 5-0. For Gujarat, Rahul Gharai netted two goals with one in 14 minute and another in 39 minute ;Sushil Chauhan also scored 2 goals in 19th and 49th minutes respectively, while Pawan scored the goal in 65th minute.
In Pool A, Hockey Bhopal defeated Goans Hockey by 6-1. The goal scorers for Bhopal included Wisaam Baig (44 min), Imad Uddin (49 min and 50 min), Adnan Sheikh (56 min), Sourabh Paseeney (61 min and 68 min), while Sayyad Sarfaraz pelted goal for Goans Hockey in 13th minute.
In Pool D, Hockey Himachal defeated Vidharbha Hockey Association by (7-1). Sher Singh scored 3 goals in 6th, 16th and 54th minutes, while Divyan Shakti Verma also scored 3 goals in 23rd, 55th and 69th minutes respectively and Kartikey Verma also netted a goal in12th minute. For Vidarhbha Hockey Association Vishal Sangani scored the goal in 29th minute.
In Pool C, Hockey Patiala defeated Hockey Bengal by a solitary goal and the goal scorer was Gurpreet Singh, who scored it in 34th minute.
