Sir,
The heart rending havoc created during the earth quake in Nepal a few days back was really shocking and pain giving. Thousands of precious human lives have been lost and an equal number rendered wounded. The loss caused to the precious human lives, castles, buildings, temples and other establishments is beyond one’s imagination.
Though one may attribute such disasters to natures’ fury, yet the man is no less responsible for such disasters. It has rightly been said that nature can provide all facilities to the man but cannot satisfy his greed. Man has never felt exhausted in creating an imbalance in nature’s order by way of digging mines, exhausting natural resources beyond proper limit, constructing tunnels, deforestation, constructing magnificent buildings on river banks and thus fiddling with nature. Previously also, there was destruction and devastation beyond description in Uttrakhand, Ladakh and then recently in J&K State especially in the Valley.
How can nature’s fury be averted when man is hell bent upon exhausting natural resources beyond limit? We have not spared animal kingdom by way of destroying their habitats. So now let us learn a lesson to be cautious in future about the grave problem of dealing with nature. However, to cope with the present alarming position in Nepal, let us all human beings try our best to bring succor to the people of Nepal in this alarming tragedy.
Yours etc…
