JAMMU, May 11: Week long placement drive being organized by Jamwal Group of Educational Institutions commenced at IECS and North Polytechnic, located at Purkhoo Camp, Domana.
This placement drive is being conducted from today to May 16, in which a large number manufacturing, software, automobile and infra structural companies are participating.
The drive is likely to benefit a large number of final semester engineering diploma students studying in various Government/private polytechnics in this region.
The drive was inaugurated by Er Vidhi Singh Jamwal, Chairman-cum-Managing Trustee of Jamwal Group of Educational Institutions. He hoped that this drive will help the students to fulfil their long cherished dreams.
Er Ajay Jamwal, Dean Administration, Training and Placement said that this placement drive is culmination of 3 years hard work by faculty and students to shape their future. The students during their studies are made to participate in various student centered activities, debates, seminars and group discussions in addition to usual academic sessions.
He informed the audience that a large number of students from both the institutes were selected last year in reputed companies like Harley Davidson, Tata Steel, Wipro, Maruti Udyog, etc.
Deepak Gupta, Manager Uflex Industries, Sanna Rahotra and Manisha from Synergy Consultants also spoke on the occasion and hoped that the students from various polytechnics shall get benefited from this placement drive launched by Jamwal Group of Educational Institutions.
Some more companies are going to visit the campus during the next five days. Prominent among them are Simula Software, Accenture, Wipro, HCL, TCS Synergy Consultants, recruiters for Hindustan Pencils, Sudhir Gensets, U-Flex, Pepsi, Coca-Cola and Kirloskar (India).
Earlier, Er KG Gupta, Principal IECS Polytechnic, presented the welcome address and in the end, Er KR Sharma, Principal North Polytechnic, presented vote of thanks.
