MKK stages Punjabi play ‘Loha Kut’

JAMMU, May 12: Manoranjan Kala Kendra (MKK) staged a Punjabi play ‘Loha Kut’ at Luthra College of Education, here at Talab Tillo.
The play was written by Balwant Gargi and directed by TS Premee.
Chairman, Luthra College of Education, Rajeev Luthra, was the chief guest on the occasion.
In the play the heroin is living with Kaku Lohar who is very strict. Fed up with strict atmosphere of the house, her young daughter ‘Bano’ runs away from her house with Sarban Kumar. The mother registers strong protest but with the passage of time she feels that her daughter (Bano) had taken right step. The play takes a dramatic turn when the mother follows the path adopted by the daughter and she too runs away from her house with one ‘Gajjan’.
The artists who performed in the play were ML Shastri, Neena Rani, Shilpa Rattan, Ansh Anand, Sandhya, TS Premee, Meenakshi Sharma, Anu Kumari, Mandeep Singh Chib, Mukesh Sharma, Dr Rajinder Thappa, Tirlochan Singh and Viplave Shastri.
The music of the play was given by Balwinder Kour, lights by Ajay Sharma, Make up by YS Premee, costume by Parkash Kour and the set was maintained by Dr Rajinder Thappa, Amit Sharma, MC Sharma, Davinder Singh and Sumeet.
The production manager was Shilpa Rattan while photography was done by Amit Sharma.
