JAMMU, May 14: High Court today directed the Director General of Police to restore security to Shakeela Begum, sister of Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha, Ghulam Nabi Azad as the petitioner and her family were facing threat to their lives.
After hearing Advocate SS Ahmed appearing for the petitioner (Shakeela Begum), Justice Bansi Lal Bhat issued notice to Home Secretary, DGP, ADGP Security and others returnable within two weeks. In the meanwhile, High Court directed DGP and ADG Security to restore 2 PSOs withdrawn from the security of the petitioner and directed that compliance in this regard shall be filed within one week.
