JAMMU, May 16: Minister for Health and Medical Education, ARI and Trainings Choudhary Lal Singh said that the salaries of Female Multi-Purpose Health Workers (FMPHWs) will be released shortly.
He said this while interacting with a delegation of Female Multi-Purpose Health Workers (FMPHW) Association led by Sushil Sudan, President, Jammu Kashmir Medical Employees Federation.
The delegation apprised the Minister about the problems being faced by female multipurpose health workers due to non-drawal of salaries under 2211 Family Welfare for the past over one year.
Minister while listening to the grievances of FMPHWs was surprised and took serious note of it and immediately contacted BB Vyas, Financial Commissioner, Finance regarding release of funds to the tune of Rs 21 crore already agreed by the finance department for the salaries of FMPHWs.
Minister assured the deputation that the salary of FMPHWs will be released shortly and sufficient amount will be arranged in the treasuries to avoid hampering of bills for want of cash.
Among others present were Babli Sharma, president, FMPHW Association, Neelam Devi, general secretary, Rekha Rani, Mohni Raina, Gaytri Devi, Mamta Sharma and Anoop Singh.
