Veeri lays stress on nurturing students morally, academically

SRINAGAR, May 17: Describing educational institutes and teaching fraternity as the fountains of prosperity and development, the Minister for Horticulture, Haj and Auqaf, Abdul Rehman Veeri today said that educational institutes have pivotal role in reforming and shaping of the society.
This was stated by the Minister today while interacting with the teachers during his visit to Government High School, Pushkiri in Bijbehara. He stressed upon the teachers to be knowledgeable and hardworking for achieving better results. He also asked them to adopt modern teaching techniques in order to impart quality education to the students.
He emphasized on grooming of children in a palatable and conducive educational temperament to mould them as best human resource to shoulder any responsibility with capacity and calibre.
The Minister said education is the most important tool for empowering the people of the State. He said the pursuit for knowledge has always been a part of the ethos of our State.” In a fast emerging knowledge based society, I call upon the children and youth of our State to study and acquire as much knowledge as possible for an enlightened future for themselves and the State”, Veeri said and added that Increasing the accessibility of education and improving its quality putting the State on the firm road to peace and stability.
Mr Veeri said the investment in education is important to build a new Jammu and Kashmir, symbolized by peace, prosperity and people’s empowerment. He said education, good healthcare and employment opportunities will empower the people to become effective in the process of development.
