SRINAGAR, May 20: Outplaying Novelty FC convincingly in the summit clash, Kashmir United Football Club lifted the title trophy of the Football Fanatics Knockout tournament, organized by Jammu and Kashmir Football Association (JKFA) at Synthetic Turf, TRC, here today.
Earlier, the players of Kashmir United FC started the match aggressively with attacking intent with the duo of Raja Mushraf and Zahid Shafi making themselves noticed with their play that created the first couple of chances and Raja Mushraf converted one of them into a goal to get the early lead. However, an equalizer came from Novelty FC through Numan.
In the second half, Kashmir United FC doubled their lead through Raja Mushraf and won the match by 2:1 goals.
Jehangir Mir, Director General Youth Services and Sports was the chief guest, while Aijaz Aga, General Manager SIDCO was the guest of honour.
