JAMMU, May 20: Assam Hockey thrashed Hockey J&K by six goals to nil (6-0) in the 5th Sub Junior Women National Hockey Championship Division-B at Ranchi in Jharkhand today.
Assam eves dominated the proceedings from the word go and it was Jaspina Horo who pelted the first goal in 12th minute to get the early lead. Then two back to back goals by Munmuni Das in 21st and 48th minutes increased the lead, which followed a superb goal by Mohima Tirkey in the 50th minute to make it (4-0), before Elina Tigga netted two goals in dying moments of the match in 66th and 69th minutes to guide Assam Hockey to (6-0) win.
