Confused BJP encouraging anti-social elements: Manohar

Excelsior Correspondent
KATHUA, May 21: Senior Congress leader and former Minister Dr Manohar Lal Sharma has  expressed deep concern over the recent happenings in Kashmir,  repeated anti- nation slogans by  the anti- national elements  including separatists in number of public gatherings.
In a press statement Mr Sharma said that his type of activity encourages anti- national elements and causes  discouragement in pro- nation people of the country.   The release of  Masrat Alam immediately after the formation of Government and the statement of the Chief Minister in presence of  BJP leader  Dr Nirmal Singh only give encouragement to the anti-national elements.
He said that issuance of visa to hardcore separatists leader  Syed Ali Shah Geelani   is a matter of great concern and the divided stand of State Coalition Government   of  BJP  and PDP  further confused the peoples. Such type of happenings further deteriorate the situation even after taking many  confidence building steps.
The Congress leader alleged that  border people  are suffering badly due to  unprovoked  firing  by Pakistan rangers but the negligent approach of both State and Central Government further deepened the crisis. Dr  Sharma asked Central Government to come clear on the stand to issue Visa to  Geelani, cease fire violations and its soft approach to curb militancy.
