JAMMU, May 23: The Award Ceremony for IAYP was held at Jodhamal Public School, here today.
The National Programme Manager of IAYP, Bivujit Mukhoti from National Head Office , New Delhi graced the occasion with his presence.
He later-on distributed the awards among the winners.
A total of 33 awards were distributed, with one gold, 10 silver and 22 bronze medals. Award Leader, Shallu Sharma took the initiative of inviting the dignitaries for the event and IAYP students staged a colourful cultural show for the guests, which was hosted by Rijuta Mahajan and Arpita Salgotra.
Mr Bivujit after the Award Ceremony took three sessions for classes IX, X and XI for developing a leader within and then he also took a workshop for all the teachers of the School.
Mr. Mukhoti congratulated the winners, the award leader and the management of the School for the wonderful exposure they are giving to the students of Jammu.
Meanwhile, a workshop for the students of different CBSE Schools of Jammu was going on in the School, wherein Trilok Singh Bist, Principal Jodhamal Public School delivered lectures on Leadership and Career Counselling.
Eight Schools participated in the workshop including K C Gurukul Public School, K C International, Stephens International, Jammu Sanskriti School, DCM Public School Akhnoor, Jodhamal Public School and SOS Hermann Gmneir School.
The Format of the workshop was such that each child was involved by way of PPT or Videos or Caricatures and also by representing their schools in the feedback session.
All the escort teachers were also given a chance to share their experience of the workshop and all equivocally felt that such workshops should be conducted more than often to broaden up the horizon of the students.
In the second leg of the workshop in a nut shell it was conveyed to the students that they need to know their capabilities, potential, interest and ambition and then judge it on realistic grounds and they finally decide as to what they want to become in life.
