District Level Inter-School Cricket tournament gets underway at Reasi

REASI, May 23: The District Level Inter-School Cricket tournament Under-17 boy’s got underway at Mini Sports Stadium, here today.
Deputy Chief Medical Officer, Dr K C Dogra declared the Tournament open in a simple but impressive function.
District Information Officer, Parvinder Kour, District Youth and Sports Officer, Dr SS Chib and ZEPOs Om Prakash and Manohar Lal were also present on the occasion.
Dr Dogra while speaking on the occasion said, Inter-School Tournaments are a fantastic platform for these budding players, adding that this stage is where the competition starts and one understands the meaning of a team and also starts valuing friendship.
Earlier, Dr Chib in his speech informed that in this six days tournament 16 teams from different schools are participating.
In the inaugural cricket match, Govt. HS Aghar Jitto defeated Govt. HS Sirla Bagha by 19 runs. Karnail Singh of GHS Aghar Jitto was declared as man of the match.
In another match, Govt HSS Panthal defeated Govt HSS Pouni by 24 runs.
The matches were officiated by Ajay Kumar, Upender Singh, Abhinash Kumar, Kuldeep Raj and Tour Kumar Sharma.
