DODA, May 23: Uttar Pradesh XI registered an easy win by 10 wickets over Maharashtra XI in the ongoing All India 11th Gufran Memorial T20 Cricket Championship 2015 played at Sports Stadium, here.
The tournament is being organized by Young Star Cricket Club Doda and sponsored by Rashtriya Rifles Bn Doda, J&K Bank, Natnoo Furnishing House Doda and Green Model Hr Sec School Doda.
Earlier, after winning the toss, Maharashtra XI elected to bat first. Batting first,
Maharashtra XI collapsed at a paltry total of 70 runs in 11.5 overs. Suraj Patil contributed with 17 runs, while Akash Sagar chipped in with 16 runs. For Uttar Pradesh XI, Mahaveer clinched 3 wickets, while Himanshu and Mohd Aqif shared 2 wickets each.
In reply, Uttar Pradesh XI chased the target in 6.5 overs without losing any wicket, thus won the match by 10 wickets. Atul Gaharwal was the top scorer who scored 44 runs, while Himanshu contributed 10 runs to the total. Atul Gaharwal of Uttar Pradesh XI was declared as man of the match for his superb bowling performance.
The match was officiated by Sanjay Chouhan and Ayush Sharma as umpires, while Salinder Singh Bhaduria acted as the scorer.
