JAMMU, May 26: The refugees from PoJK held protest demonstration at Press Club in support of their one time comprehensive settlement here today.
A large number of displaced persons under the banner of Jammu and Kashmir PoJK DPs Front 1947, 1965, 1971 led by Rashpal Singh Chib assembled at Press Club and held protest demonstration. They were raising their demands and shouting slogans against the Government. They also raised slogans against the Provincial Rehabilitation Officer for not publishing the mandatory public notification for inviting the claim applications from the DPs of PoJK as many families could not avail the financial assistance. After staging protest demonstration for some time, they dispersed. They demanded Rs 25 lakh package per family and other benefits as recommended by the JPC.
