AMCCC blames successive Govts for Pandits plight

JAMMU, May 26: A meeting of AMCCC was held at Jagti under the leadership of Desh Rattan Pandita, President AMCCC & its general secretary R.N. Dhar.
In the meeting a resolution was passed in which the speakers clearly & strongly condemned the successive Central & State Governments for their negative attitude towards Kashmiri Pandits since 1947.
The meeting said though India got independence in 1947, the KPs continued to remain a suppressed lot in J&K. The community is being treated as second class citizen in their own State and this is the reason that community was thrown out of their homeland and Central Government remained mum and it failed to protect the community. This is the reason this time thousands of Kanals of land is being encroached by miscreants & State administration is also involved in the same.
The AMCCC chief dismissed the meeting held at New Delhi for return between some KP leaders and Chief Minister and BJP leaders and termed it as a useless & baseless.
It said the Pandits want their share in Kashmir. “We want that our encroached land should be restored & all the property which was looted by miscreants should be returned to us”. The main sufferer of the Migration/ Militancy is the Kashmiri Pandit Community and it should be compensated for the losses suffered over the years.
The meeting demanded that the Central Government should talk directly to those K.P’s who are living in camps & are working for Community.
