MLA listens to grievances of villagers

NUBRA, May 28: MLA Nubra Deldan Namgail during his 10 days visit to each village of Nubra valley gave a patience hearing to the grievances of the villagers.
During his recent four days visit MLA, Nubra visited Diskit Gonpa, Skamphuk, Partapur, Hunder, Hunder Dok, Terchey, Skuru, Hundri, Rakuru, Udmaru, Largyab Yokma, Largyab Gongma, Pachathang, Waris Fastan, Changmar, Gunesthang, Bogdang, Garari, Thang, Tyakshi and Turtuk.
MLA assured to redress the grievances of each village in phased manner and special focus was given on quality education in Govt Schools. He also visited all Higher Secondary Schools, High Schools, Middle Schools and Primary Schools of Nubra and Constituency Development Funds (CDF) were distributed to improve the standards of education in Government schools of Nubra valley.
He also interacted with the students and teachers of Higher Secondary School Bogdang and Turtuk and took feedback from the students regarding functioning of the institutions. He advised the Principals of Higher Secondary Schools to maintain strict attendance of all the teachers.
At Bogdang the VEC members complained that 6 Lecturers of Higher Secondary School are on leave due to which students are facing problems in covering the syllabus of the academic session. MLA assured the VEC that he will take up the matter with higher authorities. For monitoring the functioning of Government schools the MLA committed to provide a Bolero vehicle to ZEO Nubra.
During the visit, MLA Nubra visited medical centers and assured to take special care to improve the health institutions in Nubra valley.
MLA Nubra advised the villagers and Panchayats to execute the works under MLA CD Fund by the villagers itself so that development funds could benefit the villagers themselves.
