UDHAMPUR May 28: The NSS unit of Bhartiya College of Education Udhampur organized an inter section quiz competition on leadership and personality development based on the life of Swami Vivekananda, here.
The programme was organized under the guidance of Assistant Prof, Savita Sambyal in-charge NSS wing of the College.
The objective of the competition was to make students aware of their innate divine potential like self confidence and skills for improving will power, concentration, patriotism required for self excellence.
Prof Sukham Chand, Principal of the college was the chief guest on the occasion. Five students from each team namely A, B, C, D and E participated in the competition.
The questions were based on general knowledge, personality development, life history of Swami Vivekananda and his contribution in education. Sixty questions were asked in four rounds with a view to enhance the knowledge of students.
All the teams performed effectively in the competition.
On the basis of their performance, team B comprising of students namely Babli, Jyoti, Sapna, Kajal and Pawan were adjudged first in the competition, while team C comprising of students namely Neelam, Sonia,Vivek, Sahil and Rakesh got second position and Shivali, Soniya, Manisha, Neha and Pooja from team D claimed third position. Prizes were distributed to the winning teams by the Principal of the College.
Earlier, Prof Sukham Chand threw light on the life of Swami Vivekananda.
