JAMMU, May 28: A poster presentation competition to mark the Anti-Tobacco day was held today at the Institute of Dental Sciences (IDS) Sehora, here.
This was informed by Dr Gautam Sharma, Secretary, Indian Dental Association (IDA), Jammu.
He said that this competition was organized by IDA in collaboration with IDS, Sehora.
Twenty students participated in poster presentation which was judged by Dr.Sunil Mahajan, Prof and Head, Department of Periodontics and Dr Bhupinder Singh, President, IDA Jammu.
Emani got the first prize and was presented a cash prize of Rs 1500 and a certificate, Samreen Dutta got second prize of Rs 1,000 and a certificate, while the third prize was given to Arjun Bakshi and Anshu Gupta, who were presented a cash prize of Rs 500 each, along with a certificate each.
Every participant was presented certificate by the judges.
Dr Y K Singla, Principal IDS Sehora, congratulated the dental students for participating and making knowledge oriented and theme based posters.
Prominent doctors who were present during the event included Dr Rajiv Mengi, Dr.Sarang Khajuria, Dr Kunal Vuthoo, Dr.Umang Jamwal and Dr Himja Mengi.
