POC Bangladesh registers 8-wicket win over MCC Thathri in Gufran T20

DODA, May 29: Pirates of Chittagong Bangladesh (POCB) registered 8-wickets win over Manhas Cricket Club (MCC) Thathri in the ongoing All India 11th Gufran Memorial T20 Cricket Championship 2015 played at Sports Stadium, here.
The tournament is being organized by Young Star Cricket Club Doda and sponsored by Rashtriya Rifles Bn Doda, J&K Bank, Natnoo Furnishing House Doda and Green Model Hr Sec School Doda.
Earlier, after winning the toss and batting first, MCC Thathri scored a modest total of 113 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Sohan Singh was the top scorer from MCC Thathri, who scored 58 runs, while Sanjay Manhas contributed 12 runs to the total. From POC Bangladesh, Moni-Ruz-Zaman clinched 3 wickets, while Mohammad Balal took 2 wickets.
In reply, after getting good start for the first wicket, POC Bangladesh chased the target in 10.2 overs by losing 2 wickets thus won the match by 8 wickets. Mohi-ud-Din Rubel was the highest scorer who scored 51 runs while S K M Karimmithu contributed 24 runs for his team. For MCC Thathri, Sohan Singh and Raj Kumar shared 1 wicket each. Mohi-ud-Din Rubel of POC Bangladesh was declared as man of the match for his brilliant performance.
DDC Doda, Bhupinder Kumar  was the chief guest on the occasion.
The match was officiated by Arif-ur-Rehman from Bangladesh and Sanjay Chouhan as umpires where Salinder Singh Bhaduria acted as scorer.
