JAMMU, May 31: The dead body of a new born female baby was found from a deep drain near Shri Maharaja Gulab Singh (SMGS) Hospital, here today.
According to Incharge, police post SMGS, Arun Bhagat, the dead body of a female baby of age about 2-3 days was found this morning from a deep drain near Hospital entrance gate. He said on the basis of the hospital slip pasted on the forehead of the baby, it was ascertained that the baby was born dead on May 29 at SMGS Hospital to the wife of Bashir Ahmed son of Karim, a resident of Gunnah Keshwan in Kishtwar district.
The body of the baby was presently kept in the mortuary room of the hospital. A case in this has been registered against the accused for throwing the dead body of the baby in the drain instead of burying it.
