JAMMU, June 1: MHS DAV Cent Public School, Akhnoor celebrated DAV Foundation Day with pomp and show.
The celebrations started with lighting of lamp and garlanding of portrait of Mahatma Hans Raj, Swami Dayanand Saraswati and Maharaja Hari Singh by the principal of the institution and staff members.
A hawan yagya followed by the vedic mantras and prayers was also held in which Principal, staff and students took part actively.
Teachers and students delivered speeches on the occasion. Teachers also sang bhajans.
While speaking, Principal of the school apprised the gathering about 100 per cent result of class Xth in the session 2014-15.
The programme concluded with DAV Gaan and Shanti Path.
