JAMMU, June 1: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) State president and Member Parliament (MP) Jugal Kishore Sharma has said that every effort will be made to fulfill pending demands of Labana community in the State who have contributed a lot in the socio-economic scenario. He was addressing a congregation after inaugurating Baba Makhan Shah Labana Community Hall at Kotli Shah Dola R.S.Pura today.
Mr Sharma threw light on the life of Baba Makhan Shah Ji Labana and assured the gathering that their long pending demands would be forwarded to the concerned quarters for redressel. He said that BJP was committed for equitable development of people of all three regions of the State irrespective of cast, creed or religion.
He was accompanied by MLA, R S Pura Dr Gagan Bhagat, MLC Charanjit Singh Khalsa and Ex-MLC and Chairman of Gurdwara Parbandak Board T S Wazir. Speaking on the occasion, Jugal Kishore added that he will forward their demand of having MLC S.Charanjeet Singh Khalsa as a Sikh representative in the Cabinet of BJP-PDP alliance Government in the State.
Earlier, MLC Charanjit Singh Khalsa in his address said that Labana community has played a great role in Jammu and Kashmir and contributed to its economy. He said that Baba Makhan Shah Labana’s contribution has been recorded in the history with golden words and no one can forget the sacrifices made by him.
Later Gurbani was recited at Kirtan Darbar organized on the occasion where the invitees paid their obeisance.
