REASI, June 2: Police rescued nine bovine animals, which were being smuggled to Kashmir, and also arrested the accused smuggler.
Reports said that acting on specific information that some persons were on way to Kashmir along with nine bovine animals and had reached near Barmidhar Tehsil Mahore. On this, a Police team from Police Post Dewal, under the supervision of SHO Mahore, rushed to the spot and rescued these animals besides arresting the smuggler, who was identified as Fareed Ahmed of Kotli in Chassana.
In this connection, case FIR number 48/2015, under Section 188 RPC has been registered at Police Station Mahore.
