Protest sparks in Jammu after police removes posters of Bhindrawala

JAMMU : Protest sparked in Satwari area in Jammu region after police removed the posters of Bhindrawala while a policeman was also injured in the clash.
Police this morning removed the posters of Bhindrawala pasted by some members of Sikh community representing a particular organisation ahead of a programme organised to remember him.
Objecting to police action, supporters of Bhindrawala amid slogans ‘Khalistan Zindabad’, staged protest.
Police parties sensing law and order problem rushed to the spot following which they started pelting stones, which led to clash. One of the Probationary Sub Inspectors Arjun Sharma was injured and rushed to hospital.
“Police parties are on job and trying to pacify the situation,” a senior police officer said.
