DGMS, MLAs call on Governor

SRINAGAR, June 4: Lt. Gen V.P. Chaturvedi, Director General Medical Services (Army), called on N.N. Vohra, Governor, here at the Raj Bhavan today.
Lt. Gen. Chaturvedi briefed the Governor about the new facilities and technologies being introduced in the Army Hospitals to further enhance the patient care in the Military Hospitals in J&K and elsewhere in the country.
The Governor discussed with the DGMS certain issues relating to the extension of medical services and related facilities to the ex-Servicemen living in various parts of the State.
Meanwhile, M. Y. Tarigami, MLA Kulgam, called on Governor and briefed him about various matters relating to his Constituency and about certain recent developments in the State.
The Governor and Mr. Tarigami discussed several issues relating to the future growth and development of the State.
Hakim Mohammad Yaseen, MLA Khansahib also called Governor.
Mr. Yaseen apprised the Governor about various post-flood problem and developmental issues in his Constituency, particularly those which relate to the provision of basic amenities.
The Governor urged the Legislator to maintain close involvement with the implementation of all the development programmes in his Constituency.
