JAMMU, June 5: A man today committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance at his residence in Amb Gharota area of city outskirts.
According to police sources, the man has been identified as Tilak Raj (55) son of Prem Nath. He consumed some poisonous substance this afternoon following which he was rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) by the family members. But after few hours, he passed away in the hospital.
The body of the deceased was shifted to mortuary room of Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu for completing medico-legal formalities. The concerned police have taken cognizance of the matter.
