JAMMU, June 7: On the occasion of its 9th Foundation Day, Aryans Group joined hands with nine renowned NGOs of the tricity and allotted one seat each to nine NGOs under 100% scholarship.
Poonam Sharma, Mayor, Chandigarh was the chief guest on the occasion while Dr Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group, presided over the function.
The office bearers of various NGOs namely Neena Singh (Bharat Prakarsh Foundation), Jai Kumar (JK Study Center), Ritu (Sunehra Aaj), Sakshi Khanna (Tamanna), Sangita Vardhan (Vatsal Chaya), Komal (Yuvsatta), Gunjan (Humari Kaksha), Don Bosco Navjeevan Society and Theatre Age also shared their views on the occasion.
JN Vohra, Advisor, Aryans Group was the moderator of the event. The function commenced with the lamp lighting ceremony by Prof DC Kataria “Roshaan” and Rajni Kataria, Founder, Aryans Group.
While appreciating the noble step towards hapless students the chief guest said, “Nothing is big than sharing success and happiness with the poor sections of the society. The efforts will help to remove educational backwardness from poor strata of society where higher technical educational is scarce.”
Dr Anshu Kataria while speaking on the occasion said that Aryans is the only campus near Chandigarh where more than 1000 students of total 2500 are pursuing their higher education under various scholarship schemes. These students are doing well in academics, sports, cultural, innovations etc.
Dr Parveen Kataria, Director General, Aryans Group said that education is the best tool for the region’s development. Every year a large number of students seek higher technical education outside the region. However, poor parents cannot send their children outside, even if they are talented, he said.
Dr Manjula Kataria, Principal, Aryans Group that the Group is supporting those talented students who have merit but no means, marks but no money under its various scholarship schemes.
On the occasion nine team members of Aryans designated as “Navratan” were also honoured.
