RAMBAN, June 8: Ramban Cricket Premier League organized by Rashtriya Rifles Battalion under Delta Force commenced here today, in which a total of 24 cricket teams are participating.
Commander, Rashtriya Rifles inaugurated the event alongwith SSP, Ramban Randeep Kumar, SHO Chanderkote Inspector Manzoor Ahmed Kohli and other prominent persons.
The inaugural match was played between Kabbi Cricket Club and Chandrog XI which was witnessed by large number of spectators.
This tournament has not only provided a chance to the budding players to showcase their sporting talent but also develop competitive spirit for constructive activities in the district.
The tournament will be played on a knockout basis. Winning team will be awarded with a cash prize of Rs 25,000 alongwith a trophy of Ramban Premier League and runner-up will get Rs 10,000. Best batsman and best bowler of the league would be awarded with special prizes.
