JAMMU, June 9: In a petition filed by Master Tours and Travels alleging black-marketing of air tickets for Shri Amarnathji Yatra, High Court today directed the respondents to strictly adhere to the guidelines for allotment and sale of helicopter tickets.
After hearing Advocate Rohit Kapoor appearing for the petitioners, Justice Tashi Rabstan observed, “the contention of the petitioner is that the respondents with a view to curve the menace of black marketing and to provide adequate facilities to the pilgrims, fixed rates for helicopter service for the Amarnath Yatra-2015”.
“It is also contended that the Amarnath Shrine Board after receiving enormous complaints constituted a committee and framed guidelines including 10(c) for the quota of helicopter to the travel agencies. It is further contended that respondents furnished the list in response to the application of the petitioner under RTI wherein it shows same members figuring in multiple associations which violate guidelines 10(c) framed by committee”, Justice Rabstan observed.
Accordingly, High Court directed respondents to strictly adhere to the guidelines for allotment and sale of helicopter tickets for Amarnath Ji pilgrimage-2015 and file compliance report on the next date of hearing.
