Govt to create industry-friendly environment: Chander

UDHAMPUR, June 9: Providing conducive environment for growth of industries has been accorded priority by the Government.
This was stated by the Minister for Industries and Commerce, Chander Parkash Ganga during a meeting with the Minister of State for Finance and Information Technology, Pawan Kumar Gupta here today.
Mr Pawan Gupta called on the Minister to discuss various developmental issues of Udhampur. District Development Commissioner, Udhampur, Dr. Shahid Iqbal Choudhary was also present in the meeting.
MoS stressed on steps to be taken to provide opportunities for the growth of industrial sector in the district which he said is vital for employment generation.
Mr Chander Parkash assured him that adequate measures would be taken on priority to provide conducive environment to the entrepreneurs for setting up business units in the district.
He said that industries will be promoted to absorb the local unemployed youth to give fillip to the socio-economic development of the area.
MoS also discussed various other developmental issues such as construction of Devika bridge, creation of new parking zones, overhead foot bridges and green parks etc.
DDC was asked to monitor the developmental activities being initiated in the district and ensure their completion in a stipulated time frame.
