JAMMU, June 10: DIG Jammu-Kathua range Ashkoor Wani today constituted Special Investigating Team (SIT) headed by SP Headquarters Randhir Singh and comprising 11 other officers/officials to investigate all 12 cases registered at Satwari, Gandhi Nagar and Trikuta Nagar police stations during recent police firing on protesters, four cases of stabbing and attack on police personnel and other form of protests etc.
The SIT headed by Randhir Singh, SP comprised Parshotam Sharma, Deputy Director Prosecution, Range Police Headquarters, Jammu, Javed Khwaja, CPO Sadar Court, Jammu, Rajeshwar Singh, Senior Prosecuting Officer, Mohammad Rafiq, SDPO East, Paramjeet Singh, SHO Gandhi Nagar, Manjit Singh, SHO Satwari, Ashok Bajaj, Sub Inspector, Fazal Hussain, ASI, Satbir Singh, Head Constable, Mushtaq Ahmad and Gulzar Ahmad, both Selection Grade Constables.
An order to this effect was issued today by the DIG.
Official sources said FIRs of all 12 cases would be handed over to the SIT for investigations by concerned police stations of Satwari, Gandhi Nagar and Trikuta Nagar.
