Bootlegger held, 40 pouches recovered

UDHAMPUR, June 11: Police today arrested a bootlegger along with large quantity of country made liquor pouches.
Police team from Udhampur police station arrested a bootlegger namely Jagdish Kumar son of Naseeb Chand resident of Ghordi and recovered 40 pouches of country made liquor.
The police patrolling party was led by SI Lakhvir Singh, recovered 40 pouches from his possession. He was transporting these pouches in a polythene bag for illegal sale in his native village Ghordi. The said accused person was arrested on the spot and pouches of J&K Excise were seized.
In this connection, a Case FIR number 200/2015 under Section 48A Excise Act stands registered at Police Station Udhampur and further investigation of the case is going on.
