LOS ANGELES, June 12: Ridley Scott’s “The Martian”, an upcoming science-fiction film, is all set to hit theatres on October 2.
Fox has preponed the release date of “The Martian” by a month after it was earlier slated for November 25 release, reported Deadline.
“The Martian”, which garnered positive responses, will now have a box office clash with “London Has Fallen”, “Adam Jones” and “The Walk”.
“The Martian” is based on a best-selling novel by Andy Weir which follows a lone man who must figure out how to survive long enough on Mars to return to Earth.
The movie stars Jessica Chastain, Chiwetel Ejiofor and Kristen Wiig in pivotal roles. (PTI)
