Dogra Law College organizes ‘Scholarship Award Ceremony’

JAMMU, June 13: Dogra Law College, Bari Brahmana organized “Scholarship Award Ceremony”.
On the occasion, scholarship cheques amounting to Rs 3.50 lakh were distributed among 70 meritorious students of different semesters of BA LLB Five Year Course and LLB Three Year Professional Course by Divisional Commissioner, Jammu Province Pawan Kotwal who was chief guest on the occasion
In addition, mementos were also presented by the chief guest to the students of different semesters to honour them for securing top positions in the University Examinations.
The welcome address was delivered by Gurmeet Kour, Principal of Dogra Law College.
Sheetal Nanda, Deputy Commissioner, Samba was the guest of honour, whereas Gulchain Singh Charak, Chairman of Dogra Educational Trust and former Minister of Higher Education presided over the function.
Samar Dev Singh Charak, Secretary Dogra Educational Trust, Gambhir Dev Singh Charak, Member Trustee (DET), Prof BD Damral, Director (Academics) of Dogra Colleges, SC Khajuria, Director Administration and Campus Development, prominent officials and citizens of the locality were also present on the occasion.
The University toppers of Dogra Law College honoured on this occasion were Alisha Bhagat (1st position), Sonali Rampal (2nd position), Radha Sambyal (5th position), Ashima Gupta (6th position) and Shubankar Sharma (7th position) in 1st Semester of 5 years BA LLB Course, Mohammad Mudassar (3rd position), Rasleen Kour (6th position), Shreya Shawney (8th position) and Alisha Sharma (10th position) in 3rd Semester of 5 years BA LLB Course, Neetika Suri (1st position) and Gursimran Walia (7th position) in 7th Semester of 5 years BA LL.B Course, Dinesh Jamwal (8th position) in 1st Semester of 3 years LLB (Professional) Course and Uzma Nazir (7th position) and Nitika Shangloo (10th) in 3rd Semester of 3 years LLB (Professional) Course.
A special cash prize of Rs 15,000 was presented by the chief guest to Dr Nitasha Ghai who was the University Topper and gold medalist in 3 Year LLB (Professional) Course during the session 2010-13.
In the end, vote of thanks was presented by Dr Komila Aggarwal, Lecturer of the College.
