SRINAGAR, June 14: Murtaza Warriors and TCI Max make their way to semifinals by crushing rivals in their respective quarterfinal matches during the ongoing Police Public Cricket Premier League (PPCPL) here today.
Today at Kashmir University ground, first quarterfinal was played between Murtaza Warriors and Mirza Gladiators. Murtaza Warriors won the toss and made 159 runs for all out in 19.4 overs with Adil Reshi making 40 runs.
In return Mirza Gladiators could make 155 runs for 7 wickets in 20 overs with Adil Showkat making 38 runs.
Man of the match award and Best catch award was achieved by Adil Reshi of Murtaza Warriors while Umar Nazir of Mirza Gladiators achieved most sixes award.
At Sher-i-Kashmir Cricket Stadium, the second quarterfinal match was played between TCI Max and Ramhall Lions. TCI Max won the toss and elected to field first. Ramhall Lions were bundled out for 65 runs in 19.1 overs.
In return TCI Max easily managed to win the match in 6.1 overs with Usman Pandith making 34 runs.
Musaib Farooq of TCI Max was declared as man of the match, whereas Usman Pandith was awarded with most sixes and best catch awards.
Professor of Kashmir University Nisar Iqbal presented the awards among the players.
The other two quarterfinals between JKP Tigers and Anantnag Kings, Simula Super Stars and HK Stars were disrupted by the rains and will be played tomorrow at Sher-i-Kashmir Cricket Stadium.
