JAMMU, June 16: A 25–year old youth today ended his life by hanging self at his residence here in Sarwal Colony while another person, who was working as a helper in a tailor shop died due to suspected poisoning at his shop.
According to a police spokesperson, a youth identified as Rahul Gupta son of Naresh Gupta, a resident of Sarwal Colony in Jammu hanged himself at his residence, here this morning.
“When noticed, family members shifted him to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu, where doctors declared him as brought dead”, he said adding no suicide note was recovered from the spot.
After completing medico-legal formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites. The Sarwal police has registered a case in this concern and initiated proceedings under 174 CrPC.
Meanwhile, in Satwari area of city outskirts, a man identified as Abdul Qyoom (35) son of Rashid Lone, a resident of Ramban (at present Satwari), who was working as a tailor in a tailoring shop at Satwari area was found in unconscious at his workplace. In unconscious condition, the owner of the shop shifted him to GMCH Jammu, where doctors declared him as brought dead.
The body of the deceased was shifted to mortuary room of the hospital for conducting autopsy tomorrow. The concerned police has taken cognizance of the matter.
