JAMMU, June 16: A jawan of Border Security Force (BSF) died today after he accidentally slipped and fell down from a post in Akhnoor area of this winter capital of the State.
According to a police spokesperson, “Constable S Krishnen of 89 Bn BSF died, when he fell down from a sentry post during night at around 0130 hrs. He said the Jawan was on night duty from 11 pm to 2 am and fell from the post from the height of around 10 metres at unit HQ in Akhnoor.
“He was rushed to Sub District Hospital Akhnoor but doctors declared him as brought dead,” he said, adding after conducting medico-legal formalities the body of the Jawan was handed over to BSF for last rites.
