JKPPM to launch agitation for ST status

RAJOURI, June 16: Jammu Kashmir Pahari People’s Movement (JKPPM)   has decided to launch a peaceful State wide campaign/agitation for long pending demand of ST status.
Many Pahari leaders during a conference here today, passed  a resolution  and also demanded to  appoint VC for the State Pahari Advisory Board as the Advisory Board has become defunct.
JKPPM, & Rashtriya Pahari Andolan leadership hoped that the long pending demand of Pahari community will be fulfilled with the co-ordinated efforts of Vibodh Gupta  MLC  & Kuldeep Raj Gupta, noted Pahari leader of  Pahari community of State particularly Peer Panchal region.
While addressing the conference Shahbaz Khan said that  dejected & most discriminated Pahari community   has suffered in all fields due to conspiracy against them by Hurriyat  leaders & some  members of Gujjar community for the last over 30 years. He said that more than 3 lakh Pahari educated unemployed youths who are the most sufferers of the discriminatory attitude of the Govt can be misled or misused by the anti-national or anti- social element.
Vikrant Sharma, chairman Rashtriya Pahari Andolan appealed to the people of Pahari community to get united to launch a united struggle under both these leaders and also appealed all the Pahari politicians to leave their political affiliations for the cause of the community.
