Shiv Shakti Club lifts cricket tourney title

JAMMU, June 23: Shiv Shakti Club smashed Bahu Fort Club by 11 runs in a keenly contested match and lifted title trophy of Cricket Tournament, organized by Bajjigar Sabha, Bahu Fort.
Electing to bat first after winning the toss, Shiv Shakti Club scored 84 runs in 12 overs, which Bahu Fort Club failed to chase and bundled out at 73 runs for all out.
On the occasion, Girdhari Lal, general secretary, Congress, Bahu Fort, was the chief guest, who awarded the winning team with cash prize of Rs 1,100 and title trophy in presence of Tara Ram, Vice President, Bajjigar Sabha, Hans Raj, secretary, Congress, Vijay Kumar, Congress worker, Babu Ram, Kamal Kumar, Rattan Chand, President of Bajjigar Sabha, Soni Ram, etc.
Girdhari Lal while speaking urged the Sport Minister for construction of stadium in the rural area, so that budding players can practice their games under the guidance of respective coaches and participate in national level tournaments.
