JAMMU, June 30: Shastri Cricket Club (SCC) crushed Lion Star Cricket Club (LSCC) in the quarterfinal match and will take on Tawi Sports Cricket Club (TSCC) in the semis tomorrow during the ongoing 3rd Jammu Tawi Summer T-20 Cup, being organized by Jammu Tawi Sports Cricket Club at GGM Science College ground, here.
Electing to bat first after winning the toss, SCC set a target of 161 runs for the loss of six wickets in stipulated 20 overs. Chander and Varun scored 28 runs each, whereas Vineet made 23 runs.
From LSCC side, Yash and Sunny took 2 wickets each, whileas Rohit and Aman scalped one wicket apiece.
In the second inning, LSCC failed to chase the target and bundled out at paltry 69 runs for all out in 16.4 overs. Vaneet, Rohit and Sunny made 13 runs each.
From SCC side, Rompy Sharma was the pick of the bowler with 3 wickets, whereas Arvind and Vishal Singh grabbed 2 wickets each. Avesh and Vishal Rana took one wicket apiece.
Rompy Sharma of SCC was declared as man of the match.
The match was officiated by Madan Lal and Sandeep Manchanda as umpires, whileas Sohail Yusuf maintained the scorecard.
